However, related alkyl PEG sulfosuccinates have been concluded as safe for present practices of use and concentration when formulated to be non-irritating. Other sulfosuccinates, such as Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, are generally recognized as safe at concentrations under 1% for leave-on products and up to 10% in rinse-off products, noted for their gentleness. Irritation risks, as with other surfactants, can increase with higher concentrations or prolonged exposure.
