Mechanism of Action
As a biomimetic signal peptide, Tripeptide-1 (GHK) mimics natural collagen fragments, instructing dermal cells to initiate the production of new collagen, elastin, fibronectin, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) when existing tissue breaks down. This cellular communication strengthens the skin's structural integrity and improves its overall resilience. It also supports fibroblast function, promotes tissue regeneration, and aids in angiogenesis. When complexed with copper, forming Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu), it functions as a carrier peptide, delivering copper ions to further accelerate tissue remodeling, enhance wound healing, provide potent antioxidant defense, and modulate inflammatory responses, offering protection against environmental stressors like UV rays and free radicals.
