Mechanism of Action
This oil functions primarily as an emollient, delivering significant softening and smoothing effects to the skin. Its advantageous fatty acid composition, including long-chain fatty acids such as stearic, oleic, and linoleic acids, supports the skin's natural barrier and markedly reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), thereby improving hydration. Furthermore, its rich content of vitamins (A, D, B, E), amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids (notably linolenic acid), and soluble proteins provides robust antioxidant protection against oxidative factors, which can slow cellular aging. The oil also contributes to a lifting effect and restores freshness and elasticity by enhancing the impact of elastin and collagen. Its α-linolenic acid content provides anti-inflammatory benefits, and it can act as a carrier and penetration enhancer for other oil-soluble active ingredients.
