Mechanism of Action
This extract, particularly through its compound pouzolignan F, exerts multi-target anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting nitric oxide (NO) production and suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines like TNF-α and IL-6. It also prevents NF-κB pathway activation and demonstrates binding affinity to COX-2 and PDE4. Concurrently, it stimulates total triglyceride and adiponectin production in human adipocytes, inducing their differentiation and maturation, and activating the PPAR-gamma gene, which contributes to increased energy storage and improved skin volume.
