Mechanism of Action
As an emulsifier, Polyglyceryl-10 Undecylenate effectively blends immiscible water and oil components, ensuring consistent product texture and stability within cosmetic formulations. Concurrently, its role as a skin conditioning agent helps to impart a smoother, more refined feel to the skin's surface.

Safety Profile
The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel concluded that Polyglyceryl-10 Undecylenate, among 274 other polyglyceryl fatty acid esters, is safe for use in cosmetics when formulated to be non-irritating. While the polyglycerin-10 backbone is generally considered safe for cosmetic use, comprehensive human studies on long-term topical health consequences are not clearly documented. Preliminary evidence of skin irritation has been reported for some related polyglycerin esters; for instance, 7% Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate induced slight dermal irritation in a clinical study.
