For Perfluorononylethyl Carboxydecyl Lauryl/Behenyl Dimethicone, a structurally similar compound, the US FDA considers it a safe skin protector at low concentrations. However, significant regulatory concerns exist regarding this ingredient due to its 'perfluorononylethyl' moiety, which strongly indicates its classification as a Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substance (PFAS).
