Mechanism of Action
Functioning as both a surfactant and an emulsifier, PEG-2 Stearamine enables immiscible liquids like oil and water to mix, facilitating cleansing and creating stable emulsion systems. Its surfactant properties allow it to lower surface tension, helping water combine with oily residues on the skin and hair, which can then be easily rinsed away. As an emulsifier, it contributes to the formation and stability of oil-in-water (O/W) or water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions, often collaborating with other emulsifiers. Additionally, it provides anti-static benefits, boosts foam, and acts as a mild detergent.
