The highest reported maximum concentration for a related ingredient, PEG-5 Soyamine, is 4% in hair coloring formulations, a context where PEG-2 Soyamine is also frequently utilized, particularly in rinse-off products. Concerns regarding potential contamination with residual ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane have been noted.
