While no explicit optimal pH range is defined, its broad stability is inferred across typical cosmetic pH levels. Concentrations exceeding approximately 3% may lead to formulation liquefaction. For incorporation, it is typically mixed into the silicone phase, followed by gradual addition of the water phase; if oil is present, it should be combined with the silicone phase first.
