The highest reported maximum concentration of use for Hydrolyzed Milk Protein in a leave-on product is 0.1% in face and neck skincare. Studies indicate that Hydrolyzed Milk Protein was not irritating to rabbits (up to 25%) or humans (up to 5%). Bovine milk and its proteins are broadly recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. FDA in food and animal feed. No SCCS opinion was found. While clinical studies on PALMITOYL HYDROLYZED MILK PROTEIN show efficacy up to 20%, the CIR reported maximum concentration for its base ingredient (Hydrolyzed Milk Protein) in leave-on products is 0.1%.
