Mechanism of Action
This extract exerts its anti-inflammatory effects by modulating key cellular pathways, specifically inhibiting the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK, and blocking the NFKB pathway in mast cells. It also reduces nitric oxide (NO) production in LPS-activated murine macrophages. Its significant antioxidant capacity is attributed to its high polyphenol content and direct radical scavenging ability.

Key findings
- 01 Demonstrated anti-obesity, anti-diabetic, and antioxidant effects in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes.
- 02 Exhibited significant antioxidant activity with 50% radical scavenging in ABTS and DPPH assays.
- 03 Significantly decreased compound 48/80-induced histamine release and suppressed mast cell degranulation in rat peritoneal mast cells (RPMC).
- 04 Attenuated allergic rhinitis in a mouse model by decreasing serum histamine and IgE levels, and modulating Th1/Th2 cytokine balance.
