It exhibits powerful antioxidant activity by neutralizing free radicals and inhibiting lipid peroxidation, safeguarding skin cells from oxidative damage and premature aging. Its anti-inflammatory properties soothe redness and irritation, benefiting conditions such as acne and eczema. Oryzanol also inhibits melanin synthesis by suppressing tyrosinase enzyme activity and reducing microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) expression, leading to a visible reduction in hyperpigmentation and a more uniform skin tone. It enhances the skin barrier by stimulating sebaceous glands, which improves hydration and moisture retention. Furthermore, it boosts collagen production, improving skin elasticity and firmness.
