Mechanism of Action
NONAPEPTIDE-4 functions as a fragment of the human Klotho protein, activating various Fibroblast Growth Factors (FGF) linked to cellular longevity. It specifically inhibits Insulin Growth Factor (IGF) receptors, which are implicated in premature skin aging. The peptide actively stimulates the synthesis of potent antioxidant enzymes, Superoxide dismutase and Catalase, thereby shielding dermal cells from detrimental oxidative stress. Furthermore, it initiates DNA repair mechanisms within skin cells, prolonging cellular lifespan, preventing premature aging, and optimizing cellular metabolism, function, and overall viability.
