Furthermore, it inhibits hyperpigmentation by suppressing tyrosinase transcription via the inhibition of MITF (microphthalmia-associated transcription factor) nuclear translocation and by upregulating Nrf2, which boosts the synthesis of glutathione, an endogenous depigmenting agent. Manganese Tripeptide-1 also stimulates collagen production and intervenes with collagen degradation, leading to improved skin elasticity and firmness.
