It modulates the skin's immune responses, stimulates the production of vital antimicrobial peptides, and contributes to optimal pH balance. Mechanistically, Lactobacillus Lysate demonstrably improves skin barrier integrity through increased expression of critical tight junction proteins (e.g., claudin 1, occludin) and skin barrier proteins (e.g., loricrin, filaggrin). Furthermore, it alleviates cellular damage from irritants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), inhibits inflammatory cytokine secretion, minimizes transepidermal water loss, and boosts skin moisture, collectively fostering comprehensive skin recovery. Lactobacillus Lysate itself demonstrates a low potential for irritation and sensitization and is non-comedogenic. Although generally considered safe, a patch test is recommended for individuals with known sensitivities, particularly to fermented ingredients.
