Stability
As a peptide, Heptapeptide-11 is expected to exhibit general sensitivities to pH extremes. Degradation via acid-catalyzed hydrolysis can occur at highly acidic pH (1-3), while base-catalyzed epimerization may happen at alkaline pH (>7). Some peptides also undergo hydrolysis within the pH 5-6 range. The presence of methionine, cysteine, or tryptophan residues could lead to oxidative degradation. Optimal storage conditions for stability include lyophilized forms at -20 °C, or aliquoted solutions maintained at -20 °C, or preferably -80 °C.
Safety
Safety Profile
Heptapeptide-11 has not undergone review by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) panel. Consequently, specific maximum safe concentrations for cosmetic applications and its potential for skin sensitization are not established in public literature.
