Acute oral toxicity studies in rats up to 50% showed no toxicity, and dermal irritation studies in rabbits with neat Glycereth-3 found it non-irritating. Ocular irritation was minimal and transient, leading to a non-irritating classification. While specific maximum concentrations for Glycereth-3 are not reported, related glycerin ethoxylates like Glycereth-26 have documented safe use up to 39.5% in rinse-off and 6% in leave-on products.
