Science

The copper component acts as a crucial enzymatic cofactor for lysyl oxidase, a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of structural proteins such as collagen and elastin, thereby promoting skin firmness and flexibility. It further stimulates fibroblasts, the dermal cells responsible for producing these vital proteins. Copper also provides antioxidant protection by activating superoxide dismutase (SOD) to neutralize free radicals and supports the wound healing process by enhancing collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, as well as promoting angiogenesis.
