Aloe Vera Callus Extract works through a complex blend of antioxidants (Vitamins A, C, E), sugars, minerals, and amino acids. It functions as a powerful antioxidant by inhibiting oxygen-favored reactions, preventing cellular oxidation. Its anti-inflammatory properties are attributed to reducing inflammatory mediators like COX-2 and iNOS. For moisturization, it upregulates Aquaglyceroporin 3 (AQP3), filaggrin, and hyaluronan, enhancing the skin's water retention capacity. The extract actively promotes wound healing by influencing initial inflammation, supporting growth factors such as TGF-β1, VEGF, and bFGF, and stimulating the migration and mitosis of fibroblasts and keratinocytes. This cellular activity, along with SMAD and MAPK signaling, increases collagen development and synthesis, contributing to skin softening, pore tightening (due to zinc), and anti-acne effects, while also offering protection against UVB-induced damage.
