  1. 01 In UVB-irradiated hairless mice, oral administration of Actinidia polygama extracts (100-200 mg/kg) over 10 weeks significantly alleviated skin aging symptoms, including reduced wrinkling, epidermal hyperplasia, and water loss. This was attributed to increased skin elasticity via enhanced type I collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid synthase production, coupled with down-regulation of MMP-1, 3, and 9 expression.
