Mechanism of Action
This advanced peptide addresses hyperpigmentation through a comprehensive, multi-targeted mechanism. It directly inhibits tyrosinase, a key enzyme in melanin production, thereby reducing new pigment formation. Concurrently, it interferes with the transfer of melanosomes—pigment-carrying organelles—from melanocytes to keratinocytes in the skin's upper layers, preventing the visible emergence of dark spots. Beyond direct enzyme inhibition, Acetyl Glycyl Beta-Alanine modulates genetic pathways by inhibiting Stem Cell Factor (SCF) and Endothelin-1 (ET-1), factors known to increase pigmentation gene expression after UVB irradiation. It also reduces the gene expression of MITF (Microphthalmia Transcription Factor), a crucial regulator for the synthesis of melanin-generating enzymes. Scientific studies demonstrate its ability to lessen Tyrosinase activity by up to 79.1%, Tyrosinase-related protein-1 (TRP-1) by up to 42.1%, and Tyrosinase-related protein-2 (TRP-2) by up to 91.9%. Furthermore, it can decrease melanin transfer to keratinocytes by up to 45%, interrupt melanosome transport by downregulating Mlph expression by 69.1%, and reduce melanosome uptake by keratinocytes by 55.1%.

- 01 In a study with 10 female volunteers using a 2% cream (GenoWhite™), significant reduction in noticeable age and dark spots was observed. Average age spot reduction reached 41.14% in 14 days, 63.37% in 28 days, and 73.07% in 56 days with twice-daily application. Initial visible results were noted after 14 days.
