Mechanism of Action
This essential oil exerts its effects through multiple pathways. Its inherent antiseptic and antibacterial qualities contribute to maintaining a clean skin environment, while its anti-inflammatory action helps to soothe irritation. Additionally, its cicatrisant and vulnerary attributes actively support minor wound healing and skin regeneration. The comparatively low concentration of 1,8 cineole (1-2%) in this specific eucalyptus variant potentially enhances its suitability for topical application, minimizing the risk of irritation often associated with higher cineole levels in other eucalyptus oils.

Safety
Safety Profile
Eucalyptus Dives Leaf/Twig Oil has not been assessed for safety by the RIFM Expert Panel. While general Eucalyptus globulus ingredients have a recommended maximum concentration of 0.4% in leave-on products (not spray), this assessment does not directly apply. In its concentrated form (100%), it can cause skin and serious eye irritation. When appropriately diluted, it is considered non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing. Use is contraindicated during pregnancy, in children under 3 years of age, and by individuals with high blood pressure or epilepsy. Potential irritation or allergic contact dermatitis may occur if the oil is old or oxidized.
