DISODIUM LAURETH-6 SULFOSUCCINATE.

Valuable CAS 58450-52-5 / CLEANSING, SURFACTANT - CLEANSING, SURFACTANT - FOAM BOOSTING, SURFACTANT - HYDROTROPE

Disodium Laureth-6 Sulfosuccinate is a mild anionic surfactant primarily used for its effective cleansing capabilities. It functions by reducing water's surface tension, aiding in the gentle removal of dirt and impurities while helping to maintain skin moisture. Its relatively large molecular size is believed to minimize skin penetration, contributing to its gentle profile.

Cleansing Foam Boosting Foaming Hydrotrope Surfactant

Science

This anionic surfactant operates by lowering the surface tension of water, which facilitates the emulsification and removal of dirt, excess oils, and other impurities from the skin and hair. Beyond its primary role as a cleansing agent, it also acts as a foam booster, foaming agent, and hydrotrope. Its mild nature is attributed to its ability to support skin moisture and potentially mitigate irritation often associated with other anionic surfactants, as its substantial molecular size is thought to limit epidermal penetration.
